Terms & Conditions:

1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.

2. Entry is only open to Australian residents. Entrants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to both enter and provide personal information about themselves. Further, the parent/guardian must read and consent to all terms and conditions. If any prize winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the parent/guardian who consented to the winner entering the competition on behalf of the winner.

3. Entry into each monthly draw commences at 12:00am on the 1st calendar day of each month and concludes at 11:59pm on the final day of each month (“Competition Period”). Our first draw will be held in August 2022 for the month of July.

4. To enter, Eligible Entrants must during the Competition Period:

   • Subscribe  to our newsletter, where prompted, by providing your name, e-mail address and telephone number. (See form at top of this page)​

   • Like AND Follow us on Facebook

   • Maintain subscription and Like/Follow us on Facebook status' for automatic re-entry into each months draw

   • Opting out of our Newsletter and / or unfollowing or unliking us on Facebook will result in no longer qualifying for our monthly draw

5. ​The winner (1) as determined by Millennium Optical, in its sole discretion, will win Prescription Eyewear valued at up to RRP AU$400.00 inc GST. The prize does not include, and the winner is responsible for, payment of all associated inclusions which exceed the initital prize value of RRP AU$400.00 Inc GST. 

6. Millennium Optical reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, and contact details) and to disqualify any entrant that is not in accordance with the conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that Millennium Optical, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the competition. Millennium Optical also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with any voting or judging process. Failure by Millennium Optical to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

7. Any incorrect entrant details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform Millennium Optical if their personal details change prior to the Winner Notification Dates.

8. If for any reason whatsoever the prize winner does not redeem their prize or an element of their prize within 14 days of the date Millennium Optical first attempts to contact them, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and neither cash nor any other prize will be awarded in lieu. Millennium Optical will redraw that months winner. This process will continue either until the particular prize is claimed or valid entries are exhausted, whichever occurs first.

9. If a prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, Millennium Optical, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law.

10. Unless otherwise stipulated, no prize is transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.

11. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of Millennium Optical, the competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, Millennium Optical reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the competition.

12. These conditions of entry do not, nor do they intend to, limit, exclude or modify any non-excludable statutory guarantee under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (CCA) or any other warranties (whether express or implied) or terms under any state or federal legislation which cannot be excluded.

13. The following applies to goods and services supplied by Millennium Optical (including prizes) in accordance with these conditions of entry which provide a warranty against defects: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

14. Each entrant consents, if the entrant becomes a winner, to Millennium Optical using the entrant’s name in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), Millennium Optical and/or products/services supplied by Millennium Optical.

15. Millennium Optical collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and provide any goods/services requested and may, for that purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers or a regulatory authority and for any purpose to which the entrant has previously consented, including but not limited to, future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to Millennium Optical. All entries become the property of Millennium Optical.

16. Each entrant acknowledges that it is providing information to Millennium Optical and not to Facebook. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and entrants completely release Facebook from any and all liability in connection with this competition.
